An enrichment opportunity for KS4 & 5 Music student’s performance technique, taking you from panel audition, to master class and a final performance next February at the Shelley Theatre: This is Perform.
Perform is the chance for KS4/5 musicians to hone their craft, gain practical performance tips, and draw inspiration by working with music educators and industry professionals through a blend of one-to-one coaching, critical professional appraisal, peer to peer input and a performance in one of Bournemouth’s most engaging venues, Shelley Theatre. In addition, each student will receive a recording of their performance piece.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with and receive specialist coaching from two special guests:
John K. Miles is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, with credentials spanning TV, film, world music and working partnerships with organisations including Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera, and City of London Sinfonia.
Chris Woods is a highly acclaimed guitarist, composer and international author of his book, Percussive Acoustic Guitar. He has a distinctive style of percussive guitar playing and has sold thousands of Albums world-wide.
