SoundStorm, the lead partner of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Music Education Hub is delighted to welcome your school to the SEN Music Hub Member Network. This brand-new initiative is in response to and informed by the recent consultation which many of our local SEN schools took part in.
The subsequent recommendations (summarised below) will help shape the inputs, support and direction of travel across the next two years of confirmed Arts Council England funding. However, the most vital element in taking forward the Network will be the support and input from teaching staff, representing the needs, interests and aspirations of the students and in doing so, drive the agenda and project inputs.
The inaugural network meeting is scheduled for Thursday September 20th at 2pm at Victoria Education Centre where we will be joined by Sophie Dunn, South-west Director for Live Music Now who we are delighted to announce will be offering the network a series of live music inputs in autumn and spring term.
We will shortly be publishing details of the offer that includes a fully subsidised Charanga license and a dedicated training session (September 26th, Absolute Music) for SEN and SENco colleagues, details of which can be found here https://bit.ly/2MLiy7q
