SoundStorm and Charanga – Building Musical Schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

At SoundStorm we are always looking for new ways to support our music teaching colleagues. We are delighted to announce our newest partnership with Charanga – enabling all member primary, infant and SEN schools to access the full Musical School programme for FREE.

As part of 19/20 membership, we have pledged to provide all KS1, KS2 and SEND Music Hub member schools with a fully-subsidised Charanga license until July 2020 (RRP up to £295).

This offer includes licenses for your whole school, supplementary resources and access to free training to help you to make the most of Charanga.

What is Charanga?

Charanga is an award-winning digital resource that encompasses a wealth of tools for teaching music at KS1, KS2 and for SEND settings. Resources range from a comprehensive scheme of work for each year group (reception to Year 6), to vast libraries of individual songs and pieces, and creative apps and activities to support composition.

Charanga is ideal for specialist and non-specialist teachers. It provides lesson plans, assessment, clear progression, and engaging and exciting whiteboard resources and activities. Whether you’re a music specialist looking for some innovative digital tools to enhance your music teaching or a non-specialist looking for a fully realised scheme of work; Charanga offers a brilliant resource bank for all music teaching.

Why Charanga?

SoundStorm is committed to providing focused support that meets the needs and ambitions of our Music Hub schools; enabling schools to offer the best possible start for young people beginning their musical journey.

We believe Charanga aligns with our ambitions and offers a fantastic resource to support specialist and non-specialist teachers in delivering modern, music teaching. By rolling-out this resource across the borough we hope to encourage a consistency of music provision from specialists and non-specialists alike.

Charanga provides opportunities for developing a vibrant music culture throughout your school, no matter your experience. We love it and hope you will too.
