Young Musicians’ Summer School

Covid 19 Update: April 30th

As the country continues to observe lockdown, we are keeping a close eye on how and when social distancing will ease. At the time of writing, we are hoping that the Summer School will go-ahead however it is likely that we will need to observe a number of potentially restrictive conditions. This may mean we are required to limit the numbers of students attending, and carefully manage the presence of family members. It may also mean a change of location should social distancing be extended.

All queries regarding bookings, should be made to Broadstone Music Series  https://broadstonemusicseries.info/contact-us/

The Poole Society for Young musicians and Broadstone Music Series perform a vital role in the local music education landscape: since 2015, SoundStorm has been supporting their concert series and masterclasses and we are delighted to once again be the lead partner in their annual Summer School.

The three day long residency offers two schools, Junior and Senior; offering small ensemble coaching, musicianship classes and this year, the school is fortunate to be welcoming the remarkable Halcyon Quartet as resident artists. Expect expert coaching from some of the county’s finest resident musicians in a musically enriching environment, not short on fun all culminating in a final, informal showcase.

Attracting almost 100 students in 2018, we’d advise early booking via https://broadstonemusicseries.info/music-summer-school-2020/
The three day residency costs £100 and although students are encouraged to remain for the three days, subject to demand, it may be possible to offer a day rate. The deadline for applications closes Friday 1st May.
