The stage is set for the Final of BandStorm 2024 – SoundStorm’s battle of the bands competition in partnership with Absolute Music and the The Old Fire Station Club, Bournemouth (Bournemouth Uni).

Come and witness some of the most talented young musicians in the area wow the judges and perform to an audience of family and friends. With a great variety and exceptional skill on show, it is going to be a night full of entertainment and anticipation as we find out who the winners will be this year!

Our annual battle of the bands has brought to the stage a wonderful array of talented performers, bands and vocalists and we are excited to be announcing the details for this year’s BandStorm competition!

Are you in Y9 – 13, in a band, and fancy getting involved?

This year applying will be a two-step process from the outset.

1. Complete this application form. APPLICATIONS CLOSED
2. Video audition. These need to be the band performing 1 track of no longer than 3 minutes which showcases your collective talent and enthusiasm. At this first stage we just want to see/hear an example of a song you are rehearsing or have performed – it doesn’t need to be professional – just a good video, or audio (if you don’t have video) you’ve taken on your phone is fine! These must be submitted via the website www.wetransfer.com. Please send to jo.farley@bcpcouncil.gov.uk and make sure to include the name of your band! 

TIPS: Take note of the closing date and the two step process

Successful bands will be allocated one of two Heats:

Heat 1: Saturday 10^th February 2024 (Absolute Music)

Heat 2: Saturday 17^th February 2024 (Absolute Music)

Then, 5 bands will be asked to perform at the FINALE @ The Old Fire Station, Bournemouth: evening of Wednesday 27^th March 2024
