SoundStorm is the award winning Music Education Development Agency for the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole conurbation, in South West England.
Our mission is transform lives through music. We aim to give every young person who wants it the opportunity to participate in exciting musical activities, whilst also reaching out to the wider community.
Over 250,000 participants and 500,000 audience members have been involved in our work since we started in 2002. Their involvement has been through workshops, concerts, special projects, community choirs, festivals, annual conferences, skills development sessions and much more…

In 2016, we were once again awarded the Major Trophy at the UK-wide Music Education Council Awards, the third time we’ve won the top award since 2012. This is open to all 165 music services and hubs across the United Kingdom.
SoundStorm was a strategic partner of Youth Music through their extensive Musical Inclusion Programme which concluded in 2015. We’re delighted to announce that in May 2020 we successfully applied for a further Youth Music award to extend our programme of Inclusion. This is due to commence in Spring 2021.
