SoundStorm is delighted to announce that lead schools for music have now been appointed for BCP and the wider South Coast Music Partnership (SCMP) Music Hub.

The appointments follow a comprehensive application and school visit process, during which the SCMP Leadership Team was hugely inspired and impressed by the breadth, diversity, and quality of music-making as well as the enthusiasm from pupils and the support from staff and senior leaders.

The new lead schools for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) are:

PRIMARY PHASE: Baden-Powell & St Peter Junior, Longfleet CE Primary (joint leads)

SECONDARY PHASE: The Bourne Academy, Twynham School (joint leads)

SPECIAL SCHOOLS: Linwood School

SoundStorm Team Leader Dan Somogyi said “We’d like to thank all the schools that applied from BCP. It was an incredibly difficult decision, as all the schools that applied had excellent provision, but we’re delighted to have appointed such a strong first group of lead schools. Congratulations to them. That said, we were so impressed with all BCP applicants we’re hoping all the schools that applied can contribute as part of a new, wider Network of Excellence across the partnership.”

The lead schools will be part of a network of lead schools across SCMP and the 43 music hubs nationwide.
