The Music Club

Introducing a brand new space to meet like-minded young musicians, to meet with professional musicians, jam and to forge new musical connections.  We kicked off in July 2021 and we meet monthly every second Tuesday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. 

Hosted and programmed by Sandie Wood (Funky Little Choir) and local event promoters, We Broke Free, we’re putting the control in the hands of young people from across the area. Now we’re up and running, you’ll have the chance to tell us what you want to see happening in your space. We’re talking industry guests to help you get your music online, local artists, club and event promoters, DJ’s and more.

The first session hosted some brilliant homegrown talent including singer-songwriter Jack Grace with musical interludes from DJ’s Tor Byrne and Simon Kilmister, with a concluding live set from Beetrice, one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands.

To start of our journey, Simon and Jack led students on a creative and collaborative journey, an evening that finished with a brilliant informal jam of a composition co-developed that night!

Doors open at 5.30 pm and we’ll be done by 7.30 pm.
